katy-perry-vh1-diva-01.jpgIf you didn't realize it, Katy Perry is having a big year. The "California Gurl" popstress snagged nine MTV Video Music Award nominations -- leading the field of this year's music nomiees. Perry was nominated for Best Pop Video, Best Collaboration, Best Direction, Best Special Effects and Video of the Year among others.

British chanteuse Adele did pretty well herself, snagging seven nominations for her song "Rolling in the Deep." Kanye West will be happy to learn that he also scored seven nominations and if he doesn't win in all seven categories, we'll likely hear about it.
