Comic book fans looking forward to getting a sneak peek at Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" during the Super Bowl, there's a bit of bad news. While Marvel will have a trailer for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," "Guardians" is going to sit out.

Instead, "Muppets Most Wanted" will be promoted during the game, linked to Toyota, Variety reports. Among the other movies getting screen time during the Super Bowl are "Need for Speed," "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and "Transformers: Age of Extinction." Additionally, Kevin Costner's NFL-approved movie "Draft Day" will be featured during the pre-game show.

While "Guardians of the Galaxy" won't have a Super Bowl presence, that doesn't mean fans won't see something from it in the near future. "We will have something incredibly awesome for you soon," director James Gunn says in a tweet. "Guardians of the Galaxy" is scheduled to release Aug. 1, with "Muppets Most Wanted" in theaters March 21.

Super Bowl XLVIII begins at 6:25 p.m. ET/3:25 p.m. PT Sunday, Feb. 2 on FOX.
