The Muppets are back for yet another movie, signaling just how much they've taken over pop culture. With "Muppets Most Wanted" set for release Friday, you can't look around without seeing Gonzo or Fozzie up to some kind of shenanigans on a daytime TV show.
As for the first couple of the Muppet world, Zap2it had the chance to sit down with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy and ask the one question one of them would probably rather not hear: Is there a wedding in the future? Kermit does his best to dodge the question, but after over 30 years together it cannot be ignored. In fact, Piggy won't let him. It's just not something they can discuss in public at this point.
The famed couple also address the odds of a return to TV for "The Muppet Show" and it's more likely than you might think. "We'd love to do more television stuff," Kermit says. Piggy adds, "I think you have voiced the opinions of all of our fans, everywhere."
Shows like the Lady Gaga special at Thanksgiving are one thing, but it's time for "The Muppet Show" to take over the airwaves again.
"Muppets Most Wanted" is in theaters March 21.
