The "Nashville" Season 3 premiere is returning in a big and unprecedented way -- the episode will feature two live performances integrated into the storyline.

As first reported by ET Online, the live songs will be broadcast from the Bluebird Cafe set and will feature Will Lexington (Chris Carmack) and Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten). Will has "If It's Love" by The Striking Matches for his performance, while Deacon sings "I Know How to Love You Now" co-written by Esten himself with Deana Carter.

Not only is this the first time a scripted drama has included live music into an episode, but the experience will be live on both coasts. West Coast viewers will get their own live songs from second performances out of Nashville. And no one will have to wait too long if they want recordings -- iTunes will make them immediately available to download.

"Nashville" Season 3 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
