Natalie Portman talks 'Thor: The Dark World' Chris Hemsworth slap inspiration
Natalie Portman gives several solid slaps in the upcoming "Thor: The Dark World." During the actress' trip to "Good Morning America" to promote the flick, she opens up about what place she went to so that she could properly whack Chris Hemsworth across the face.
"I think I was feeling the anger of all my sisters, all my girlfriends and I who have had those guys who don't call back or disappear, break your heart," she says with a laugh. "He let me whack him a few times."
In "Thor: The Dark World," Portman finally gets to share some screen time with Anthony Hopkins. She says that was an exciting change in the new flick.
"I really felt like I missed out last time," Portman admits. "This time my character gets to go to Asgard and I got scenes with Anthony Hopkins and Tom Hiddleston, all the characters I missed last time."
Since Thursdays are now universally known as "Throwback Thursdays," "GMA" took Portman on a trip down memory lane to her first red carpet for "The Professional." A hilarious photo shows that she didn't exactly have the best fashion sense at the time, but Portman defends her look.
"My mom got me a fake fur cow print jacket, which I thought was the most beautiful thing," she recalls with a laugh.
"Thor: The Dark World" is due in theaters on Nov. 8.
