NBC brings 'Mysteries of Laura,' 'Constantine' and 'A to Z' to series

nbc-pilots-a-to-z-constantine-mysteries-of-laura.jpgNBC has rolled out its Warner Brothers picks for the 2014-15 season,ordering two dramas and one comedy to their lineup featuring some familiar faces.

Here is the scoop on the new shows:

mysteries-of-laura-nbc.jpg "Mysteries of Laura" -- The procedural drama based on a Spanish show, "Los Misterios De Laura," brings NBC darling "Will and Grace" and "Smash" star Debra Messing back to the network. Messing plays a homicide detective with a crazy personal life including a demanding ex-husband played by Josh Lucas and twin sons. 

constantine-nbc.jpg "Constantine" -- Based on the graphic novel from DC Comics titled "Hellblazer," Matt Ryan plays John Constantine, an occult leader and demon hunter who must defend humankind from the forces of evil; all while struggling with sins in his past. Harold Perrineau Jr., Lucy Griffiths and Charles Halford co-star.

a-to-z-nbc.jpg "A to Z" -- A romantic comedy about Andrew and Zelda who fall in love in an unconventional way at an internet dating service. This is their story from meeting to end. "How I Met Your Mother" mom Cristin Milioti stars as Zelda with Ben Feldman playing her main squeeze.The comedy is executive produced from "Parks and Recreation" alum Rashida Jones. Leonora Crichlow, Henry Zebrowski and Christina Kirk also star. 

"Constantine" and "Mysteries of Laura" bring the NBC drama total to five joining "Allegiance,"  "State of Affairs" and "Odyssey." While "A to Z" rounds out the five comedies pairing up with "Marry Me,"  "Mr. Robinson,"  "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" and "Working the Engels."
