Despite the myriad of hate-tweeting that went on during NBC's broadcast of "The Sound of Music Live!" the network clearly decided it was a success.

NBC will re-air "The Sound of Music Live!" at 8 p.m. ET Saturday (Dec. 14), the network announced on Tuesday. Though the title won't be changed to "The Sound of Music Taped!" which makes more sense to us, but oh well. We're not network execs, so what do we know?

In its original airing on Thursday (Dec. 5) "The Sound of Music Live!" drew a 4.6 rating in adults 18-49 and 18.6 million viewers. In the live+3 data, the 18-49 rating grew to a 5.5 and the total viewers grew to 21.3 million -- so the experiment was a success. In fact, NBC is so happy with "The Sound of Music Live!" that the network has already committed to another live musical event in 2014.

Thanks to the schedule shakeup, "It's a Wonderful Life," which was originally scheduled to air Saturday (Dec. 14), will now air at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20.
