NBC has good buzz for fall drama "The Event," and with hopes of having one of the season's first hits, it's already filling out the cast.

Live Feed reports the series recruited Clifton Collins ("Star Trek") as one of the first major additions since filming the pilot.

Part sci-fi mystery, part conspiracy thriller, details on "The Event" are sketchy at best, so the same goes for Collins' character. But here's what we do know: Collins plays Thomas, a man with big role in the series' central conspiracy. He'll also be a big adversary for the president ( Blair Underwood).

As for Collins himself, the little we know, we learned from the internet in the last ten minutes. He's availed himself as a guest star on plenty of series ( "Southland" and "The Sheild," to name a few) and had small roles in "Star Trek," "Traffic" and "Extract." He's also a really big fan of being photographed at swag suites.
