New 'Harry Potter' book cover unveiled at Scholastic Comic-Con party
The latest new "Harry Potter" cover was unveiled at the Scholastic party at San Diego Comic-Con 2013. On hand was illustrator Kaza Kibuishi, who made the big reveal of the "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" cover at the event.
This is just the latest new "Potter" cover to be unveiled. "Sorcerer's Stone," "Chamber of Secrets," "Prisoner of Azkaban," "Goblet of Fire" and "Order of the Phoenix" covers already premiered, while the "Deathly Hallows" book cover will make its debut at a birthday party Scholastic is throwing for Harry Potter on July 31. Editions of "Harry Potter" with the new book covers will be available starting on Aug. 27.
The original "Harry Potter" artist was Mary GrandPre, and her editions of the bestselling novels aren't going extinct. Her covers will remain on "Potter" hardcover editions, while the paperbacks will feature the makeover. What do you think of the new "Half-Blood Prince" cover?
