New iPad 3 revealed: What it has (and what it doesn't have)
The case is slightly more tapered than the iPad 2, but other than that, the devices look the same -- which is surprising, given that it decreases the number of people who will suddenly feel the urge to run out and get the hip new thing.
Unexpectedly, the iPad does not include the Siri functionality of the iPhone 4S, which many thought was a sure thing. You can, however, dictate emails, which is a new feature. The new iPad is not available in a 128 GB capacity, either -- like the others, it tops out at 64.
Users who watch videos and edit photos on their iPads can enjoy a new higher-definition retina display at a 2048 x 1536 resolution. It's also got a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. The front camera is still the low resolution camera that's been in previous devices.
