Mariah Carey claims Nicki Minaj threatened to shoot her during 'American Idol' auditions

Don't expect this feud between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey to go away any time soon. It's been days since the tape catching Minaj cursing Carey out during "American Idol" auditions hit the web, but still the women haven't let it go.

"The View" host Barbara Walters recently called up Carey to hear her side of the story, and apparently the whole fight was a lot more intense than we thought based on the video.

"When Nicki walked off the set and multiple people heard Nicki say, 'If I had a gun I would shoot the b---h,'" Walters recounts to her fellow "The View" hosts. "I am quoting her, but Nicki is unpredictable, and Mariah says she can't take a chance and she has hired extra security."

She continues, "Nicki has not apologized, but they have since been together at meetings with producers and judges -- there was a meeting yesterday morning -- and after the meeting Nicki said to Mariah, 'I love you, but we might fight again.' Mariah responded, 'No, we will not.'"

Carey claims that she "doesn't feel comfortable emotionally" but will continue to work on "Idol" because she likes mentoring the contestants. We don't think she really has a choice, as both she and Minaj are contractually obligated to the show.

For her part, Minaj was not pleased with Carey's little interview with Walters.

"I don't call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave," she tweets, adding, "I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we've had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn."

According to Minaj, she thought the incident had been resolved yesterday. Clearly Ryan Seacrest and Keith Urban didn't get the memo either.
