The feud between Nicki Minaj and New York's Hot 97 DJ Rosenberg has been settled. You may be asking yourself, "Who is Rosenberg and what feud?" Well it seems there was serious static between the two.
Before Minaj was set to take the stage and perform at Hot 97's Summer Jam concert in 2012, Rosenberg complained that her song "Starships" wasn't real hip-hop. Of course, he did it into a microphone broadcasting to the entire crowd. From there, Minaj pulled out of the event and took the Young Money roster with her.
That's all water mostly under the bridge now, though. Minaj has made her first appearance on the show since the incident and seems to be over the event. " I mean it's so long ago. I can't even act like I care anymore, but I appreciate you guys having me," she says. She also admits that she should have done the show.
As for why the comment bothered her so much, that's where Nicki shows that she may forgive, but she'll never forget. "I never found you funny. I never found you entertaining. I never found you smart. I just found you annoying," Minaj says, "To me, you don't have enough of a resume to make those comments." She also admits she never actually saw the video of the DJ dissing her song.
Regardless, Nicki says the feud is in the past and she was excited to talk about her new music. Her feud with Mariah Carey won't be ended quite as easily. That shouldn't pose much of a problem with Mariah exiting "American Idol" at the end of the season, though.
You can see the interaction between Nicki and Rosenberg below. The video is a half hour long, but they get most of the important stuff out of the way fairly quickly. Warning, there's strong language throughout.
