Nicki Minaj: 'Voice in my head told me' to delete Twitter account

nicki-minaj-album-father-and-lil-wayne-brbie-lil-kim-drakeNicki Minaj, who deleted her Twitter account earlier this week leaving her 11 million followers in the lurch, may be making a comeback to the social networking service sooner rather than later.

On the U.K.'s "Graham Norton Show" ( via MTV) Minaj explained the real reason why she abandoned the service. Turns out it wasn't just a knee-jerk reaction to her songs leaking online.

"A voice in my head told me to delete my Twitter and that's what I did," she says. "I had 11 million followers and I hope they will wait for me."

Twitter, by the way, allows users a 30-day grace period to reactivate deleted accounts, so it's a safe bet that Minaj -- or her PR team -- will get her account back up and running before a month is out.

Plus, Nicki hints pretty strongly that she would return:

"I don't know yet, I'm thinking about it," she says when asked if she'll be back. "I miss my Barbz, please bear with me."
