Nicole Richie, Joel Madden's wedding: Paris Hilton doesn't make guest list, elephant does

The highly anticipated Nicole Richie- Joel Madden nuptials took place Saturday (Dec. 11) in father-of-the-bride Lionel Richie's Beverly Hills home. The ceremony reportedly included 130 of the couple's closest friends and family, including an elephant named Tai

Your guess is as good as ours as to what the four-legged giant was doing at the wedding, but we're sure it was a big hit among guests.

In another surprise twist, the happy couple was married by not just any minister, but rapper-turned-minister Rev. Run, Us Magazine reports.

"Joel and Nicole have looked up to Rev. Run, so they wanted him to officiate," says a guest. "They both appreciate his family values and he is an inspiration for both."

Of course the Richie-Madden children were in attendance. 15-month-old Sparrow and two-year-old Harlow, who served as flower girl, were by their parents side on the special day.

Also reportedly on hand were Samantha Ronson, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Gwen Stefani and Richie's godfather, Quincy Jones

Not on the guest list? Nicole's former BFF, Paris Hilton, who instead spent the weekend partying in Vegas with someone who goes by the twitter handle, "CamRaFace." Saturday morning, Paris tweeted "Good morning everyone! Off to Vegas for my BFF @CamRaFace's Birthday! Huge! Loves it!"

After tweeting several pictures of her weekend, as if to show that she didn't want to go to Nicole's stupid wedding anyway, Paris followed up on Monday (Dec. 13) tweeting that she'd be spending "a fun filled day with my BFF's," again including this CamRaFace character.

So who is this new BFF and more importantly, how long do we think she will retain said title? It's no secret that Paris is quick to throw out the BFF honors, but she's even quicker to take them away.

What do you think, Zappers? Did anyone even notice she was missing, or was there a serious Paris void at the Richie-Madden celebration?
