'Nikita': Dillon Casey on shippers, mom and Michael Bolton

Dillon-Casey.jpgYou may not know it from his role on "Nikita," but Dillon Casey is hysterical. Not only did he have us cracking up through the interview, he has a really funny series on Funny or Die called "Living in LA with Dillon Casey." Check out it out here. We got to chat with Casey about his role on the show, what's coming up next, shippers and how Michael Bolton fits into the picture.

One of the things we talked about is the really strong fan base of shippers. We all know about Mikita and how passionate fans of that relationship are. Well Sean/Alex ( Lyndsy Fonseca) fans are popping up everywhere. Casey laughed, saying "If people think Alex and Sean are going to get together, I've clearly done something wrong." (Don't worry. He's kidding. We think.) He said that Alex is starting to respect Sean and who knows where that could lead.

Speaking of shippers, we asked about any nods to the fans of Sean/Alex that might be thrown out there. "Maybe one of those videos where we're both walking in slow motion with a little Michael Bolton playing in the background. Is that too old a reference?" he laughed. "Our faces will slowly merge into one..." "Nikita" fans, please, oh please make this happen!

In terms of where Sean is right now, Casey said he's really conflicted. "Basically he's on the edge of treason right now, so he's trying to make sense of it all, how to make it okay with how he was raised. He's trying to rationalize why he's trying to protect his mother." He added that he sort of knew that little tidbit of information because of a fake audition scene he read. He just didn't know it would actually happen.

We asked if he knew what was in store for Sean. He said, "You know, the thing is, I don't really know where he's going. The writers keep me in the dark for most of it. Some of them have made jokes to me, not to sign a year lease, because I'm not going to last that long," he laughed. "This one in particular. He said to me during the last episode, 'Did you find an apartment yet? Did you sign a lease?' I said, 'No.' And he said, 'Good.' He said, 'One of the producers wants to talk to you, man.' And I couldn't get a hold of the producer. He sent me a message afterwards saying, 'All I cans say is that I fought for you, man.' They mess with me," he said. "I'd love to know. Then I could start planning."

"I know I'm in through episode 12. It's almost as intense if not more intense than 9 coming up and I'm shirtless for most of it." Yeah, we're totally okay with that, Dillon.
