'Nikita' peek: The CW takes aim at retooling assassin tale

nikita-maggie-q-video.jpg "Nikita" is bringing danger to The CW on Thursdays.

Nikita ( Maggie Q) was given a new lease on life as a teenager when the Division rescued her from death row and then trained her as a spy and assassin. After she was betrayed though, she went rogue, hiding out for three years. Now she's back, ready to take them down, but the Division has already been training its next crop of young killers.

We're actually pretty psyched for "Nikita." Not only are we happy to see the gorgeous Maggie Q (a kick-ass female Asian in a lead role!) in the spotlight, but we think The CW needs to add more action to their lineup.

Check out Maggie Q in action:

"Nikita" is based on the original french film "La Femme Nikita," which has been remade at least twice for the big screen (Hong Kong's "Black Cat," America's "Point of No Return") and for a USA Network series starring Peta Wilson. CW's series also stars Lyndsy Fonseca, Shane West and Aaron Stanford.
