Odin Lloyd's final words revealed? Victim sent texts about Aaron Hernandez
Following the news that Aaron Hernandez was charged with the murder of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, what were likely Lloyd's final text messages have been released. Lloyd's comments seemingly foreshadow his impending death.
The messages, which were sent by Lloyd to his sister minutes before Hernandez shot him execution style, were used as key evidence in Hernandez's arraignment. The texts seem to imply that Lloyd knew -- or at least suspected -- his death was coming. They read:
Odin Lloyd (3:07 a.m.): "Did you see who I am with?"
Odin Lloyd (3:11 a.m.): "Hello?"
Sister (3:19 a.m.): "My was phone dead. Who?"
Odin Lloyd (3:22 a.m.): "NFL."
Odin Lloyd (3:23 a.m.): "Just so you know."
The prosecution says Lloyd's sister saw him leave his house with Hernandez and two other associates at around 2:30 a.m. on June 17. It's unclear if these were the last words Lloyd said, but there's a good chance there wasn't much time for talking before Hernandez shot him. A motive for the murder has not been revealed.
