Oksana Grigorieva drops Mel Gibson domestic violence claim

oksana-grigorieva-mel-gibson.jpgAfter all those jaw-dropping phone tapes and every bit of racism, misogyny and threatened violence contained therein, Oksana Grigorieva on Wednesday (May 3) dropped her domestic violence claim against ex-boyfriend (and baby-daddy) Mel Gibson. According to TMZ, this is Grigorieva's attempt to extend an "olive branch" to Gibson in the hopes of settling custody of their daughter Lucia. Things seem to be looking up for Mel. His new movie, "The Beaver," is due in theaters May 20. [ TMZ]

Marie Osmond did it again. The teen idol turned fancy doll maker remarried her first husband, Stephen Craig, in a Las Vegas ceremony. The couple was previously married in 1982 -- divorcing three years later. Osmond then married Brian Blosil in 1986. They had two children together and adopted five more before their 2007 divorce. At the wedding ceremony, Osmond wore the same dress she donned 30 years ago at her first wedding to Craig. [Access Hollywood]

Or maybe Osmond shouldn't have bothered? According to Cameron Diaz marriage is a dying institution.  "I think we have to make our own rules," says Diaz in an interview with Maxim (she's one of the magazine's newly-announced Hot 100). "I don't think we should live our lives in relationships based off old traditions that don't suit our world any longer." Diaz -- currently dating Yankee Alex Rodriguez -- had more advice:  "[G]uys need women who challenge them and don't let them get away with their s**t. Women, conversely, need to not be crazy b****es who blow up when their guys tell them something that scares them." Okay. [Via Us]
