Olympics 2014 men's hockey quarterfinals results: U.S. and Canada to face off

usa-mens-hockey-2014-winter-olympics.jpgThe quarterfinals of the men's hockey tournament at the 2014 Winter Olympics didn't see any upsets, as the four highest seeds all advanced to the semifinals. The two highest seeds, Sweden and the U.S., put up five goals apiece in their respective games, though the U.S. allowed two by its opponent and Sweden recorded a shutout.

The semifinals start Friday, Feb. 21 with Sweden and Finland taking the ice at 7 a.m. ET/4 p.m. Sochi time, followed by the U.S. and Canada at 12 p.m. ET/9 p.m. Sochi time. The U.S. and Swedish teams are favored, but neither is going to have an easy time of it getting to the gold medal game.

The losers of the semifinal matches will face off Saturday, Feb. 22 for the bronze and the winners will vie for gold on Sunday, Feb. 23, just hours before the closing ceremony begins.
