The 2014 Winter Olympics offered a new milestone on Friday, Feb. 14. Meredith Vieira stepped in for Bob Costas and became the first woman to host the Olympics on U.S. television.

How did she do as a Winter Games host?

It wasn't exactly planned for Vieira to be the host, even though she was already in Russia as a special correspondent for NBC (and co-hosted the opening ceremony). But when veteran Olympics host Bob Costas came down with a serious eye infection he had to take some time off. Matt Lauer was the first substitute before Vieira took his place.

Vote in the poll below to share your opinion on Vieira as a host.
