Olympics 2014: Shaun White may compete in 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics
He tells "Today" that he's disappointed, but it's not the end of the world.
"I thought about it plenty of times, just countless, running it through my head what I could have done. I'm happy, though. I move on from here. I don't think it makes or breaks my career this one night, but definitely a disappointment," says White, adding that he's "learned a lot" from it, even though it was a "tough night for everyone," referring to the less-than-stellar finishes by his fellow U.S. snowboarders Danny Davis and Greg Bretz.
However, this might not be the last we've seen of White in the Winter Olympics. When Matt Lauer asks him if he would consider coming back for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in 2018, White teases, "I think so," to wild applause from the crowd. White says to his fans, "I need everybody now more than ever so, yeah, thank you guys."
