Olympics Opening Ceremony: Sir Paul McCartney closes the show with 'Hey Jude'

McCartney took his place behind the piano and performed two songs, "The End" and "Hey Jude." But it was "Hey Jude" that had the stadium full of athletes and fans swaying and singing along with him. Meanwhile, daughter Stella McCartney -- who played a key part in designing Team Great Britain's costumes -- looked on proudly.

The opening ceremonies -- which also included performances from the Arctic Monkeys, Dizzee Rascal and Rowan Atkinson (aka Mr. Bean) -- were watched by an estimated 1 billion people worldwide.

The games themselves kick off on Saturday (July 28).
