Could 'Once Upon a Time' get a 'Frozen' spinoff series?

once-upon-a-time-frozen-spinoff.jpg Ever since Elsa arrived in Storybrooke at the end of the "Once Upon a Time" Season 3 finale, all anyone can talk about going into Season 4 of the ABC fairytale drama is "Frozen."

Elsa (Georgina Haig), Anna (Elizabeth Lail) and Kristoff (Scott Michael Foster) are all making their way to Storybrooke in the upcoming Season 4 premiere, "A Tale of Two Sisters," and no one -- from the viewers to the showrunners to ABC execs -- can seem to "Let It Go."

At the 2014 summer TV press tour on Tuesday (July 15), ABC President Paul Lee spoke to a few reporters about whether or not he thought it was too soon to bring "Frozen" in to the "OUAT" world.

"Absolutely not," Lee says. "'Frozen' is a wonderful asset. John Lasseter himself flew up to Vancouver. He's integrally related to the way we're going to do that. And [executive producers] Adam [Horowitz] and Eddie [Kitsis] always have a twist on the story, so you can imagine their twist is going to be different. But no, I think it's a perfect time."

And does Lee imagine a future where the "OUAT" version of "Frozen" could be its own spinoff series?

"We don't have immediate plans for a spinoff," Lee says, "but they're so inventive, those two."

To be clear, that is not a "no." "OUAT" Season 4 premieres Sunday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
