One Direction's Niall Horan reveals homesickness after family visit
One Direction's Niall Horan might be living the high life as a member of one of the most popular boy bands in the world, but even he succumbs to homesickness sometimes. It seems like a brief visit home wasn't enough to relieve the pop star of the fact he misses his family.
"Had a lovely few days at home! Great to see everyone! People I haven't seen in ages! Had great craic aswell!" Horan tweets. "Won't be at home for a long time now! Gona miss the family and the lads! very limited time with them !"
Meanwhile it's been reported that Horan is doing his best to fend off homesickness by flying some of his friends out to meet him as he travelled Europe on tour. He even bought them suits for a soccer event at the end of April. Now that's true friendship.
This isn't the first time Horan has been faced with homesickness while traveling the world with One Direction. In May 2012, the 19-year-old spoke with The Ralphie Radio Show about getting to go home after a world tour similar to the one 1D just completed.
"That needed to happen. We were all sort of cracking up towards the end," he said at the time. "We were all like, 'Okay, we're 10 weeks away, this is a long time, we need to go home."
