Oprah Winfrey taps Jenny McCarthy for TV development deal

jenny-mccarthy-getty.jpgIs Jenny McCarthy the next Oprah Winfrey? Well, maybe not quite yet. But Jenny has signed a deal to develop her own television program with the Queen of all Media.

"We do not have anyone taking over for Oprah," a HARPO spokesperson tells the New York Post. "We do have a development deal with Jenny McCarthy. We are exploring possibilities across a number of platforms."

The content of McCarthy's program is not known at this time, but according to MSN, HARPO executives insist it will not be a carbon copy of Oprah's current talk show, set to go off the air in 2011. There is also no word as to whether McCarthy's show will be on the OWN network or not.

What do you think, gang? Would you watch Jenny's television show? She's actually a very funny lady so maybe it'll be pretty good.
