'Orange Is The New Black' cast talk about their roles of a lifetime on 'Today'

"Orange Is The New Black" stars Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Jason Biggs and Uzo Aduba appeared on the "Today" show Tuesday (June 10) to talk all things Season 2 and how they are digesting their newfound success.

Although there was no way for the cast to predict just what a hit "OITNB" would be with fans, Prepon said she knew it was something she had to be part of right from the start, "When you hear [creator] Jenji Kohan and after you read the pilot, it was just so good. So I think I speak for all of us when I say, you just knew it was something special and that you had to be a part of it."

Biggs addressed fans' disdain for his character Larry saying, "The women [on the show] are so incredibly sympathetic. Taylor does such an amazing job and people really root for Piper. So when Larry makes these decisions that are somewhat questionable, people are not thrilled with him. He's kind of a polarizing guy."

Aduba gave the biggest reveal of the interview, saying she actually initially auditioned for the role of Watson, and it was a bit of a shock when she was offered the part of Crazy Eyes: "I thought, what in my audition would make someone think she is not right for the track star, but she's totally right for the crazy woman?"
