Taylor Schilling stars in the hour-long series based on Piper Kerman's memoir about a 15-month stint in a federal penitentiary. Laura Prepon, Jason Biggs, Kate Mulgrew, Natasha Lyonne, Pablo Schreiber, Danielle Brooks, Laverne Cox and Taryn Manning co-star.

All 13 episodes of Season 1 become available Thursday, July 11 at 12:01 a.m. PT. Season 2 will begin production later this summer for a 2014 debut.

Netflix has demonstrated its commitment to its fledgling collection of original series, also ordering second seasons of "House of Cards" and "Hemlock Grove" and floating the possibility of more "Arrested Development."
