orphan-black-season-2-premiere-ratings-streaming.jpg The ratings for the Season 2 of "Orphan Black," one of the best television shows on TV (now or ever), were pretty high for a BBC America original scripted series. But they should totally be higher, because, as previously mentioned, "OB" is a phenomenal hour of television that delivers every week.

The "Orphan Black" Season 2 premiere garnered 785,000 viewers over two airings on the network, reaching 1.2 million Twitters with more than 43,000 tweets about the show. The show also got a 97 percent bump in the adults 18-49 demo so coveted by advertisers, making it the network's No. 2 highest-rated show in the demo, behind "Doctor Who."

All in all, good, solid numbers -- but who are these people who were doing things that were not watching "Orphan Black"? It is for America's own good that they watch such fantastic programming.

If you happened to miss the episode -- surely you have a good excuse, like your seester shot you or you think your daughter was kidnapped by the woman who runs an evil scientific institute or your neighbor died after her scarf got caught in the garbage disposal -- you can watch it online on BBC America's website.

"Orphan Black" airs Saturday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on BBC America.
