Oscar Pistorius to be indicted in Reeve Steenkamp's shooting death
Spokesman Lt. Gen. Solomon Makgale says the investigation team is convinced that Pistorius has a charge to answer for. Pistorius will appear in court on Monday, Aug. 20, where it is expected he will be served with the indictment and a trial date will be set.
Pistorius has claimed all along that the shooting was an accident when he mistakenly thought Steenkamp was an intruder in his home. The prosecution has argued that Pistorius killed her intentionally. If Pistorius is found guilty of murder, he'll face a minimum of 25 years in prison and possibly a life sentence.
