ellen-degeneres-money-pizza-tip-oscars-edgar-gi.jpgRemember when Ellen DeGeneres collected all that money for pizza at the 86th Academy Awards? The likes of Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, John Travolta, Brad Pitt and Chiwetel Ejiofor tossed money into Pharrell's hat for Big Mama's & Papa's pizza delivery man Edgar, but rumor had it the cash didn't make it to him.

Well, actually it did. DeGeneres invited Edgar on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" for her live taping after the Oscars Monday (March 3), during which she announced Samsung is donating $3 million for her epic selfie. During the show, DeGeneres and Edgar explained how she tricked him into being one of the Oscars biggest stars.

Turns out Edgar thought he was delivering pizza to the Oscar writers, which he continued to believe until DeGeneres led him out on stage. While giving out food in the audience, Edgar met the "woman in my dreams" Julia Roberts, so it was a pretty good gig for him.

As for the cash, DeGeneres says, "You left before I could get you a tip, and I passed Pharrell's hat around, and I ended up getting about $600. Here's some more, so you have a total of $1,000." Plus, of course, the countless money Big Mama's & Papa's gets in promotion.

Keep doing what you're doing, Ellen.
