joe-biden-parks-and-rec-gi.jpgLeslie Knope is about to get the thrill of her life on "Parks and Recreation": She's going to meet Vice President Joe Biden.

The vice president will have a cameo in the Nov. 15 episode of the NBC comedy. The show filmed his scene when it traveled to Washington in July but managed to keep it a secret until now.

"His staff really loves the show, and he apparently had watched the show with his family and his family liked it," executive producer Mike Schur tells EW, which broke the Biden news. "The hardest part was keeping it secret for so long because there's all these [Federal Election Commission] rules and equal-time rules. We couldn't air it before the election because it was the equivalent of a campaign contribution to advertise for one candidate."

In the scene, Ben ( Adam Scott) arranges for Leslie ( Amy Poehler) to meet Biden as a post-engagement surprise. It's well-established that Leslie has a huge crush on the vice president -- in an episode last season, she mentioned he's the first and only name on her celebrity sex-freebie list.

"They have a conversation where she does what you would imagine Leslie Knope would do when meeting Joe Biden, which is she loses control of herself a little bit," Schur tells EW. "She gets really giggly and goofy around him."

Here's a taste of how Leslie reacts to meeting the vice president:
