Patricia Arquette is not waiting for the spring premiere of "CSI: Cyber" to reprise her soon-to-be starring role of Special Agent Avery Ryan. The actress will instead guest star -- for the second time -- on parent show "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" this fall.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Arquette will return to "CSI" for the Nov. 2 episode. Arquette's previous appearance on "CSI" came in last season's "Kitty" episode, planned as a backdoor pilot for "CSI: Cyber."

On the new spinoff, Arquette's Ryan is the head of the FBI Cyber Crime Division. James Van Der Beek and Peter MacNicol will co-star. Season 15 of "CSI" will premiere Thursday, Sept. 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS, while "CSI: Cyber" is expected in the spring of 2015.
