Paul Rudd tricks Conan into playing the same clip from 'Mac and Me' every time he appears

paul-rudd-conan-mac-and-me.jpgEvery time Paul Rudd has appeared on Conan O'Brien's late-night talk show -- in any iteration, from "Late Night" to "Conan" -- and no matter what he was promoting -- from "The 40 Year Old Virgin" to "Anchorman 2" -- he's played the same exact clip.

No, not from any movie that he's ever been in -- from the 1988 children's movie "Mac and Me," which has quite possibly the best IMDb description ever: "A Mysterious Alien Creature (MAC ?) trying to escape from NASA is befriended by a young boy in a wheelchair." (Even better, star Jonathan Ward's chin-on-fist pose is possibly the best IMDb headshot ever.)

When Rudd appeared on "Conan" in early 2013 while filming "Anchorman 2," the host finally confronted him about his little prank. "You've been showing that stupid clip on my show for, I think, 15 years .. and you always convince me you're not going to show it again," he says.

Rudd apologizes, saying, "I couldn't pass up the opportunity. I apologize. Thank you for doing that," before tricking him AGAIN. Check out a montage of some of Rudd's best setups, put together by an enterprising Reddit user.
