"Penny Dreadful" fans will certainly be delighted by this. Showtime has renewed the series for Season 2.

The supernatural drama, starring Josh Hartnett, Eva Green and Timothy Dalton, will be getting 10 episodes in Season 2, compared to eight in the first. With 4.8 million weekly viewers across a variety of platforms, Showtime is more than happy with its success.

"Picking up 'Penny Dreadful' was one of the easiest decisions I've made," Showtime President David Nevins says in a release. "The series has had worldwide impact, drawing big, passionate audiences on both sides of the Atlantic, and more than any other show on our network has hit the bullseye with viewers who want to watch television in all the new ways that are available."

Season 2 will return to Dublin, Ireland to shoot, with a launch in 2015.
