person-of-interest-writers-room-season-4-twitter.jpgIt's crunch time for the writers of "Person of Interest." The official writers room Twitter account posted a photo revealing that the team is ready to start working on Season 4.

"First day back in the room! Getting our last bit of sun before descending into writing Season 4," the team posted on Tuesday, May 27 along with the above picture.

When Zap2it spoke with showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman after the Season 3 finale, they teased at the time that Season 4 will be the season of AI battles.

"This show has always been headed towards this season's finale, and headed out of it, we know exactly where we're going. There will be some fun surprises along the way," Nolan says. "In terms of the bigger story of our show, it's game on. We've always flirted, we've always been headed in this direction of our show being about artificial intelligence and about the weirdness of the world that's coming to us."

"Person of Interest" will return with Season 4 in fall 2014 on CBS.
