"American Idol" and "Dancing With the Stars" can resume their roles as TV's Hatfields and McCoys. Two of their cherished offspring have reportedly dissolved their star-crossed union.

According to E! Online, "Idol" Season 10 finalist Pia Toscano and "DWTS" pro Mark Ballas have broken up.

The duo, first linked to one another in April after Toscano's "Idol" elimination, remained coy about the nature of their relationship throughout it's short lifespan -- though during the recent run of "DWTS," Ballas and fellow pro Karina Smirnoff did choreograph a dance to a live performance from Toscano.

Toscano's reps remain mum about the singer's personal life, but they did release a statement to E!: "She's hard at work on her new album and can't wait for her fans to hear it. Pia is wrapping up her 'American Idol' tour and her album is expected to be released soon."

As for Ballas, he has Season 13 of "DWTS" and new partner Kristin Cavallari to keep him company.
