Police visit Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth after 'swatting' prank

The police response was due to a false 911 call placed by an unknown caller, claiming that there was a possible home invasion at the Cyrus/Hemsworth abode. When the cops arrived, though, no one was invading -- and no one was home.

According to TMZ, police suspect that it was a "swatting" incident -- a prank involving filing a false crime report to trick emergency responders into sending out law enforcement and swat teams. Charges could be filed against the prankster for 911 abuse.
