'Dancing With the Stars': Maks and Carrie Ann ... a feud?

Maksim-Hope-semifinals-DWTS-cropped.jpgAre dancer Maksim Chmerkovskivy and judge Carrie Ann Inaba having a feud? It certainly looks like it. Zap2it was on the scene at the taping of the semi-finals of "Dancing With the Stars" and we caught up with Maks and his partner Hope Solo. Maks had a bit to say about Carrie Ann's comment during the show.

If you recall, a few weeks ago Maks had a bit of a disagreement with judge Len Goodman, telling him it might be time to retire. Carrie Ann yelled st Maks, telling him not to be disrespectful. Later, Maks said this was his show. It started a discussion about whether or not the judges were being too harsh and quickly escalated. Despite the make-up kiss with Len from Maks the next week, the tension still seemed to be there.

At the semi-finals, Carrie Ann was saying that the couple's Argentine Tango lacked fluidity. In the middle of the sentence, she yelled at Maks, "You can smile like that Maks, it's okay," in a sarcastic voice. Maks replied, "It's nothing to do with me." Hope later told host Brooke Burke, "Maks is smiling because we should be smiling! So Carrie Ann, thank you. Maks is smiling. This is my partner. Finally, we're happy!"

Backstage, we asked him about whether or not she was being harsh. "F*** Carrie Ann," he said, laughing. Then he got serious. "I think Carrie Ann has an issue. I don't know what it is. I would love to know what it is so I can address it. But as of now, I have no clue ... I think it was a great night. I totally disagree with the scores, but what else is new?"

Oh. Wow. Hope added that the judges have wanted them off the show since day one. Now, we really like Maks and we agree that the judges can be kind of harsh. But to be fair, while Hope has greatly improved, she's not exactly Miss Twinkle Toes.

Still, you have to admire Maks standing up for his partner and his honestly. "I go to sleep with a very clear conscience because I say everything that is on my mind," Chmerkovskiy said. "I'm good. Whatever judges say or don't say, it's fine."

We'll be backstage for the results show. We wonder what fireworks will happen there!
