Saldanha, 46, was found hanged in her nurse's quarters Dec. 7, days after being duped by Mel Greig and Michael Christian, two Australian DJs impersonating Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles.

Saldanha previously attempted suicide the year before during a visit to her family in India, reports the U.K. tabloid, first with an overdose and then by jumping from a building.

On Dec. 30, 2011, Saldanha was hospitalized in Mangalore after a deliberate drug overdose, according to local reports. Just nine days later, on Jan. 8, 2012, she allegedly attempted to jump to her death and received psychiatric treatment -- including antidepressants -- after several days in an intensive care unit.

Her brother, Naveen Saldanha, confirmed to the Daily Mail, "We didn't know about the first incident, but we knew about the second incident at Father Muller [Medical College Hospital]." It is unknown whether her employers at London's King Edward VII hospital were aware of her history of depression.

British prosecutors are currently reviewing a police file to determine "whether any potential offenses may have been committed by making the hoax call," London's Metropolitan Police said in a statement Dec. 22.
