'Pretty Little Liars': 'A confrontation' next week, teases star Ryan Guzman

ryan-guzman-pretty-little-liars.jpg Ryan Guzman is the new karate hottie around the "Pretty Little Liars" set, working his way into Aria's heart as Jake. On the latest episode, we finally saw that relationship really blossom, which Guzman tells Zap2it is exactly what Aria needs in her life.

"Jake took it slow, kind of let Aria go along at her own pace, as far as when she was ready to get into a relationship," says Guzman. "I think that's what Aria needed. Jake is overall a good guy and definitely what Aria needs right now in this hectic world she has."

But in typical PLL fashion, the minute Aria and Jake are really connecting is the night Ezra's son and baby mama appear to be on the way out. So will Aria be torn between two lovers?

"Just because Ezra doesn't have a child anymore doesn't really mean she's going to be running back," says Guzman. "[But] Aria's never going to forget about Ezra. I think that's just inevitable because that is her first love and it meant so much to her and they've been through so much already. It's not so much about getting over him rather than experiencing something new and enjoying that. For Aria, it's more about living in the moment with Jake."

The love triangle, such as it is, might be coming to a head in next week's episode, though, when Aria takes Jake to the Rosewood High hoedown.

"Jake does get to go to [the hoedown]," Guzman tells us. "Jake does dance and they do have a good time together. That was a really fun episode to film.

"Actually, I don't want to give away too much, but there will be a confrontation at some point in that episode. It'll definitely be interesting."

Oooh, intriguing. So, Ezra's not going to make things easy for Aria and Jake, it sounds like.

"Ezra is always gonna make things hard for Jake and Aria. I think he's going to be a thorn in Jake's side for the whole time [Jake's] in Aria's life, whether [Ezra's] there or not there. Jake will always have to deal with Ezra's presence. Jake will reach his limit at some point in time in the near future and just have to confront this problem head on."

We can hardly wait. Just two more episodes left this season, "Pretty Little Liars" fans. "Bring Down the Hoe" airs Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
