'Pretty Little Liars' writers: Season 2 has new love interests, more proactive search for 'A'
Marlene King and Oliver Goldstick, two of the writers for ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars" took some time to answer fan questions. While they aren't dishing too much dirt, there are a few gems in the video.
On a dream guest star:
King: "We talked about Lindsay Lohan, we would love to get Lindsay on the show ... the guest star that we really enjoyed having this last season was the bead lady, that really was a lot of fun. To have Charlotte Rae, who was star of "Facts of Life" to play the bead lady in one of our episodes was just a hoot."
Will there be new characters in Season 2?
Goldstick: "Yes. There might be some characters who appeared briefly in the first season that you'll really get to know. A therapist will be coming in that the girls are asked to see."
King: "The therapist is going to be very important in the process of our PLL discovery, more about themselves and also discovery of who A is."
Goldstick: "And there's also some new love interests."
Can we get a hint about "A"?
King: "Sorry. I will tell you, though ... in the first season, the PLLs are kind of victims to A's shenanigans and torture and torment. But in Season 2, they become much more proactive about seeking out A and finding A, so that's a good spoiler for next season."
"Pretty Little Liars" returns to your TV this summer.
