Charles and Camilla, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, were met by both cheers and jeers at public appearances during their Diamond Jubilee tour of New Zealand.

The Daily Mail reports a 74-year-old protestor was arrested for planning an assault on the royals. Sam Bracanov admits he plotted to throw a bucket of horse manure on Prince Charles as he greeted citizens in downtown Auckland.

"I was going to mix it with water, stir it around and make it easy to throw and then throw it at them,' says Bracanov, an anti-royalist. "Royalty smells, so what difference does it make if I hit them?"

On the flip side of the coin, Linda Itunu, a female rugby player, was so excited to meet the prince she broke protocol and hugged Charles, instead of the expected handshake and curtesy.
