Prince William, Kate Middleton eschew domestic servants - they're just like us!

kate-middleton-prince-william.jpgLooks like Prince William is not exactly a chip off the old block. While his father Prince Charles famously employs a staff of nearly 150 people, son William and new bride-to-be Kate Middleton don't intend to be staffed in such a way when they are married in April.

A senior royal source tells the Daily Telegraph, "Prince William is not into extravagance and, like any other young officer in the armed forces, that is how he chooses to live his life. He and Catherine live without domestic staff and they wouldn't do it any other way. That's the life they want to lead."

The Telegraph says this is the way Queen Elizabeth II, William's grandmother, spent the first few years of her married life as well, since her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, was stationed in Malta as a naval officer.

Famous British royals, they're just like us!

But in all seriousness, it sounds like Prince William is doing his best to lead a relatively normal life with his bride-to-be, shielding her from a spotlight that his late mother Diana always seemed uncomfortable with. Good for him.
