Queen Latifah launches her own HSN line of clothes and stuff

queen-line.jpg Queen Latifah is following in the footsteps of stars like Jessica Simpson, the Olsen twins and Gwen Stefani by launching her own brand of, well, stuff. "The Queen" line is set to debut on HSN in August with not just clothes, but handbags and even a line of Latifah-designed (really?) hair extensions.

The line -- Latifah is careful to point out -- is not just plus-sized. Sizes start at 2 and go up.

"We all want to wear beautiful, fly clothes no matter what size you are," Latifah tells Women's Wear Daily. Still, she wanted to design a line of clothing that "respects" fuller-figured women.

Clothing in the Queen line will be priced under $100 per item, with purses retailing for $170 to $300.

"I want to make clothing that I would wear myself," says Latifah. "If the clothes are good enough for me, I think they are going to be good enough for everyone else."
