Quvenzhane Wallis and her puppy purses: A photographic history

Best Actress Oscar nominee Quvenzhane Wallis brought a little something extra with her to the 85th Academy Awards: a puppy purse named after her dog. It turns out that this isn't the first time she's brought the accessory to an event; in fact, it's been her fashion staple throughout the entire awards season.

It all started at the 16th annual Hollywood Film Awards Gala, when Quvenzhane showed up with a little white puppy purse and won the New Hollywood Award. After that she brought a little gray terrier with her to the Ebony Power 100 Gala, and a black dog purse with long floppy ears to the Academy's Governor's Awards. That same purse joined her to the National Board of Review Awards, but she ditched it for a little pink puppy purse at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards.

Even when she kept the rest of her outfit casual, Wallis made sure to bring a black and white dog purse to the Spirit Awards nominees brunch. She introduced her cocker spaniel purple bag at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards, and brought a pink poodle to the Producers Guild Awards. She then brought back her first white purse when she presented at the NAACP Image Awards.

The Directors Guild Awards marked the first appearance of her bulldog purse, and then she brought back her black and white dog to the Academy Awards luncheon. The bulldog came back at a Washington DC screening of "Beasts of the Southern Wild," and she brought a different the cocker spaniel purse to the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards. Wallis wore the gray terrier purse again to The Women in Film pre-Oscars party, and then wore the cocker spaniel again at the Spirit Awards. At least she did bring a new bag with her to the 2013 Oscars.

Did you notice Wallis was bringing puppy purses to most awards season events? Which is your favorite?
