Rainey Qualley: Meet Miss Golden Globes 2012

rainey-qualley-gi.jpg Rainey Qualley is the latest in a long line of celebrity offspring to take on the job of Miss Golden Globe. On Sunday (Jan. 15), the 22-year-old daughter of actress Andie MacDowell will help hand out the statuettes to winners at the awards show put on by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Previous Miss Golden Globes include Rumer Willis, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore; Laura Dern, the daughter of Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern; and Kathryn Eastwood, the daughter of Clint Eastwood and Gia Mantegna.

Qualley is an aspiring actress whose debut movie, "Mighty Fine," has yet to name a release date. After the Globes, Qualley plans to stay in Los Angeles to audition for potential roles and apartment hunt.

Mom Andie MacDowell tells "Access Hollywood" she wasn't able to give her daughter much in the way of advice since she's never been in the same position.

"I watched the videos [showing what] she had to do," says MacDowell. "I had no idea how much responsibility there really was with it ... She's a smart girl and she's got a beautiful heart, so I'm hoping it all goes really well for her... I don't think that [all the star power] will scare her or intimidate her because she's been with me on sets and stuff like that."

MacDowell divorced Qualley's father -- model turned rancher Paul Qualley -- in 1999.
