kym-whitley-joshua-raising-whitley-own.jpgOWN's original series "Raising Whitley" follows comedian Kym Whitley's challenges raising her adopted son Joshua with a group of friends. While the first season wrapped up last month, Whitley and crew will be back in 2014 for Season 2 and dropped by TCA's summer press tour to discuss the show.

One of Whitley's best known roles remains the 2004 episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "The Car Pool Lane," in which she played a prostitute hired by Larry David so he could drive in a Los Angeles car pool lane. When Whitley was asked if David might drop by her reality show, she gamely played along. "I would love to have Larry David come by, as long as I don't have to wear those clothes again. I can't fit in them anymore," Whitley joked.

"We do have a lot of people who come by," she added. "I have celebrity friends and a lot of them are asking to come on the show."

As for how long the show can last, the producers are optimistic about following Joshua for a very long time. "We want to keep the series until he's 18," producer Craig Piligian said. "We're gonna see him grow up, hopefully this season will span the third and fourth year. He's a real rough and tumble boy ... he's having a fun time. He doesn't know exactly what's going on but he has an amazing sense of humor. You'll see Joshua start to grow, more of a personality, and he's really smart -- you'll see that come out."

Whitley is prepared that as Joshua grows up, he may start to have objections about being fodder for reality TV. "He's gonna be angry, but what teenager isn't?" she said. "He'll say 'Why? Why?' What I love about 'Raising Whitley' and being on OWN is this child is helping other children throughout the world who see him. We can not wait to see what he grows up to be with so much love and support."

OWN executives brought Joshua himself on stage to close out the panel and the toddler sucked on a pacifier and held firm to the black curtain he grabbed on his way out.
