'Rambo,' the TV series? Sylvester Stallone in talks to join the project

rambo-tv-series.jpgA pair of production companies are teaming up to develop a series based on the "Rambo" movies, and Sylvester Stallone is in talks to join the project as well.

Nu Image, which produced the last "Rambo" movie in 2008 and is also behind "The Expendables" franchise, is developing a Rambo show with Entertainment One ("Rookie Blue," "Haven"). Stallone, according to reports, is talking with the partners about being involved behind the camera -- and possibly reprising his role as Vietnam veteran-turned-reluctant mercenary John Rambo.

The two companies will develop the series and then try to sell it to broadcasters both in the United States and internationally. No writer has been hired, and there's no word on how the show would be structured.

So what do you think about the idea? Would you watch a "Rambo" series, with or without Stallone?
