Rapper Gucci Mane arrested for assaulting a soldier at a nightclub
Rapper Gucci Mane is in some serious trouble. He has been arrested after hitting a soldier over the head with a bottle when the man tried to get a picture with him. Mane is currently being held in custody in Georgia's Fulton County Jail.
An arrest warrant was issued for Mane after he hit the soldier, identified as a man named James Lettley, at Atlanta's Harlem Nights Club on March 16. He is now reportedly in police custody, and is being held on the charge of aggravated assault with a weapon, the Associated Press reports. Lettley allegedly required 10 stitches to heal his head wound.
The incident reportedly went down when Lettley approached Mane at the downtown Atlanta nightclub to try to get a picture with him. It's unclear what happened immediately after, but it resulted in Mane allegedly smashing a champagne bottle over Lettley's head.
