'Ravenswood' canceled by ABC Family

ravenswood-cast-love-letter.jpgABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars" spinoff "Ravenswood" has been canceled, the network confirms to Zap2it. The freshman supernatural drama aired 10 episodes, launched by the annual "Liars" Halloween special in October.

The network had hoped the ratings and strong social medial presence for "PLL" would transfer to the show that saw character Caleb Rivers ( Tyler Blackburn) move to the titular town in order to investigate a mysterious curse that preys on the town's teenagers.

But the ratings were never quite there, with "Ravenswood" earning an average of just under 1.3 million viewers each week.

There is no word yet what this means for crossover character Caleb. Could he come back to Rosewood? The Haleb fans out there are certainly hoping so. But we'll admit to being disappointed at the cancellation for several reasons, but not the least of which is that we were really looking forward to original Caleb interacting with present-day Miranda.

The cancellation was first reported by TVLine.
